I had motor vehicle (comprehensive) insurance with Affinity Underwriters since January 2011, with no problems regarding monthly debit orders, etc.
A brief description of what transpired below:
I was involved in an accident on 17/10/2013.
I had to pass under a bridge at night, after a rainstorm, and did not see how high the water level was.
My vehicle got stuck and my passenger and I had to fight our way out of the vechicle.
5 Full weeks later, countless telephone calls, emails, follow-up, mis-communication, lack of communication, money spent on renting a vehicle (which should have been included in my policy), frustration, being given false information, blatant, extreme aggravation, I was finally informed that my claim was rejected due to GROSS NEGLIGENCE. I also received an SMS informing me that my policy has now been cancelled.
I have contacted the ombudsman for assistance, but I would like to warn every and anyone out there, BEWARE OF THIS COMPANY.
