BUMPED INTO BAKKIE - NO ASSISTANCE FROM INSURANCE!

On 12 September 2013 I accidently bumped into a bakkie in the parking area of MCC Spar in Klerksdorp. I immediately phoned the Insurance company and spoke to a person called "Doctor". He took down all the information and assured me that both cars would be repaired. After reporting it to the police and got hold of all the details from the owner of the bakkie, I phoned "Doctor". He was not available and a lady called "Lerato" took down all the information again as "Doctor" did not register the claim. She phoned me back with all the details. She instructed me to give the claim number (556888054/02) and the phone number of the Legal Department to the bakkie's owner and assured me that the Legal Department would not assist him with the claim.

On the 14th of November I received a letter from the bakkie's attorney. According to the attorney, the Legal Department was phoned but they would not assist him at all. As a result of the INCOMPETENCE of the Legal Department of Telesure, I am now "solely responsible for the amount of R4 500 before the 24th of November 2013, or have to appear in court.!

It is my first claim ever and R4 500 does not grow on my back! Do I contact the Ombudsman?
