Latent Defect and no help from Standard Bank

Below is the basics of the Email we sent to STANDARD BANK last week, till today we have had no response. When my wife calls to ask for assistance, she gets told to speak to another department, and so on, and so on...

"Dear Sir/Madam
We have purchased a house with a bond from your bank, and have been living in it for 3 months now.
We have been doing renovations and fixing cosmetic errors that were noticed when purchasing the premises.
My husband and I have been working tirelessly trying to get the house up to liveable standards, clearing out the jungle of a garden, re-plastering walls, tiling the kitchen, changing the rotten windows to Aluminium windows. It is safe to say in the last 3 months we have spent over R80 000 on making the house liveable.

However, upon going into the roof to have the alarm system upgraded, the technician mentioned there was a problem with the beams inside the ceiling.
Upon further inspection we have found a LATENT DEFECT of a serious nature. The roof beams are full of WOOD ROT.

Why didn't the inspector pick this up when he went to evaluate the property?
We kindly request your assistance as the property belongs to you until it is paid off in full."
