I sent an email on 11 November 2013 to [Email Removed] to request 12 months' bank statements (showing my account details and address) to be emailed to me, since I can't get these by logging onto my internet banking.

On the same day I received a reply from Petunia Ntoko (Customer Contact Centre email unit) advising me of the cost per page and the cost of R 31 to be faxed/ emailed, and requesting my acc number, the required dates and that I must reply to this accepting the fees. I replied with the required details and advised that I'll then only request 6 months' statements.
I then had more email correspondence with this unit from Nyeleti Shimange, Mahlatsi Makola, Mbali Tshabalala and Luyolo Ndlovu, all of whom seemed very eager to assist by asking for more information on my request. I then phoned Standard bank on 15 Nov to get feedback, and they advised me its ready for me to get it from the branch - this is impossible, since I am overseas and I advised them of this from the first email correspondence. I then spoke to the supervisor, Angelique who assured me she'll send it before the weekend, and I still don't have it.. Do you people not understand "Urgent"?
