Nedbank charging R1/sms to OPT OUT of Marketing!

Nedbank, please tell us if it is legal for you to charge clients R1 per sms for OPTING OUT of your Marketing Campaigns?!

I just received a sms telling me to visit [URL Removed] TO OPT OUT SMS STOP TO 45258. R1 PER SMS.
The sms was received from 082 0080 240

So is it fair to saying that I need to PAY to NOT take part in a marketing campaign that I did not even want to be a part of?

Nedbank can get rich just by spamming people and having them de-register! Smart!
