On the 18th of March 2013 I emailed Zanele to inform her that I had been offered a more competitive rate from another bank. She replied offering to meet the same rate. I agreed to remain with Standard Bank and she assured me that she would make the necessary changes as from 01 April 2013. In viewing my statements recently I noticed that only 1 of the 3 merchant accounts I have was amended as agreed upon.
I called and emailed Zanele to inform her thereof, I received a reply to which she stated that she has informed Head Office. After receiving no feedback 10 days later I called Zanele on Tuesday, she apologised and promised feedback the next day. I am still waiting, subsequent calls have been ignored. On calling the Merchant Services call centre they emphatically refused to provide me with the managers email address. After some logical reasoning and being placed on hold for 5 minutes for them to discuss same, I was given the email address.
