Asking for PIN

The Call Centre asked me to 'type-in' my PIN then went ahead and tried to convince me that typing it onto a phone is not divulging it. As I was not prepared to do this, they refused to assist me - which was, as usual, done in a very friendly, very polite and absolutely useless way.
