My husband and I have maintained an impeccable record with Standard Bank for over forty years. Have one personal account and two business accounts. Multichoice incorrectly presented a debit order for R1248.56 instead of R563.34 and because I would have been overdrawn by R36.67, an account maintained with no unpaids cheques or debit orders for seventeen years, they returned the debit order. When I phoned they were not prepared to assist me as usual. I could write a book on standard responses from Standard Bank. How may I NOT help you, should be the opening line!
