On the 12 April 2012 my car a VW POLO ViVo was hijacked in a well lit suburban area around 8:30-9pm. I completed all the necessary forms and requirements only to find out months later that my car is not covered for /hijacking without a tracker installed. Further due to the fact that Hollard Insurance Co Ltd continued to debit my account despite the fact that they according, to their own admission fully aware that no tracker was fitted seems to be bad faith on their side and made me be believe that all was order. No one followed up to find out if a tracker was installed, no one requested a tracker certificate even months after the car was insured. I had quantums insured with Intasure brokers before and have never had a problem as they would always follow up for tracker certificates. I'm posting this as I feel that the claim rejection was unfair and Hollard Insurance didnt do their part as well to ensure that I received the best full cover they had offered me to begin with.
