Good day
I was with Standard Bank, for convenience reasons, I decided to go back to my old Bank (Fnb), I stopped using the account and I terminated my Internet banking.
Four Months Later, I get letters stating that they noticed that I stopped using my account and that my Internet banking has been terminated, and that I owe an amount of R 980.33, 2 weeks later from that letter, when I was still to go to the bank to query what that is, I got a call from RL Daly Attorneys, that the account has been handed over to them for collection, now the amount has gone up to over a R 1000.00
The lady from RL Day Att, told me that I was supposed to read the terms and conditions when i opened the account, unfortunatley i have to pay the amount, as it is a chq acc.
I find this very unfair, I was with FNB, then I moved to them, i just stopped using my account, but I never got any letters or Attorneys that I owe anything, I was not happy with their service and I decided to go back to my old bank, why do i get charged for changing a bank account,
This is very upsetting,
I need your help Hello Peter, I really don't think I should pay this amount to standard Bank,
Kind Regards
Moloko Lebogo
