I had a standard bank account and without my permission money tried to be withdrawn, I had a dispute and due to the nature of my job was unable to visit the bank so I wrote a letter and faxed it to sb pine town asking assistance to close or freeze account.i changed banking details for my pay and account was stagnant, 2 months later a lady from sb calls say I owe sb 1000 plus in finance charges, I disputed, she said she will call me back.my account was 0 balance and another 2 months later got call say I owe 3000 to sb and it handed over to rk daly.i was threatened by them.i was sent from pillar to post and eventually came to agreement to pay monthly, after months I phoned and asked settlement amount and was given 24 hrs to pay which I did and phoned rk daly saying I faxed receipt and please close account, they ensured me it was done, a week later I did a follow up and was told account is 0 and sb notified to close account.today get letter from sb saying balance 401 rand, now what the is happening bcos til daly says file closed no balance sb notified but sb says I owe, the most pathetic greedy bank is standard bank, sort this out cos sick of yourll, close that account
