I used to have a Standard Bank Cheque account with an overdraft facility. As far as I remember I owed R8000 on this account. I recently received communication from their lawyers stating that I owe over R6300 and made only 3 payments since the account was handed over to them.

I have been in touch with SB and I am being send from pillar to post as no one can give me information on the original account and the amount due. All they say is that the account is with their lawyers. I believe that the amount due was R8000. SB is now saying the amount is is R6300 even though it should be way less. I started repayment late in 2010, early 2011 so it is impossible to still owe R6300

ALL I want is for SB to tell me what the original overdue amount was and how I have paid in and how much is due
