I went to the Avbob branch in Tzaneen on 2013-05-11 to claim. When I got there I was told that the money will be in 48hrs and today it's Friday already and I am still waiting. The funeral is tomorrow and the money is supposed to be used for the funeral. I was told to call the Head Office and I spoke to Mary there who was no help at all. She told us that if we want to complain we should go to the branch as they are the ones who send the form to them late. The claim number is 788620 and it shows that it was processed on the 5th. But she says the money will only be in today Friday at 6pm. I mean really, what am I supposed to do now. I need the money for the funeral. There's food that needs to be bought and if I only received the money at 6pm and the shops are already closed what is the use of having a funeral policy? I took out this policy to help me in times of needs. My husband passed away and I really don't want more stress. The branch is blaming Head Office and Head Office is blaming the branch. Please do not make your problems mine as clearly someone is or did not do their job.
