I have a standard bank current account and credit card, I made a payment to my credit card from my current account but instead of using my card number I use an account number given to me by one of the customer support agents, I realised my mistake when I reviewed the proof of payment, I immediately phoned and notified Standard bank, send e-mails, they replied saying I have to contact the bank to recall funds, but I already did that? When I spoke to one of the consultants today he told me I was given wrong information, he will log the query and they will charge me a fee to recall the funds, and they do not have any guarantees that I will get the funds back. This is disappointing to say the least and the matter was handled very unprofessionally. I now have to wait 10 business days and in the mean time I have to pay my credit card. I did not expect service like this at all.
