Bank acting as their own Juditiary

I would like to complain about the bank taking money from my account with no legal right whatsoever.
As far as I understand NO ONE is allowed to touch a persons money for any reason unless authorised by said person or by court judgement. Neither have happened in my case.
FNB claims that I have a credit card debt that I do not agree with and have been fighting with them for years now about it. I have asked for proof of said debt and they cannot provide it. Apparently I owe them money for more than 19years and no one can verify this.
According to the info desk the debt was written off in 2002 and then re-activated a year or so ago when I opened a savings account with them.
I have done legal research on this matter and a thing called "prescription" forbids them from claiming this debt anyway.
I was paid on Thursday into my account and within an hour, the bank withdrew R1070 from my account and when I queried it I was told they have the right to take the money as they see fit.
I logged a complaint with the customer care people.
Who gives the banks the right to "" your hard earned money without facing legal consequences.
This is ILLEGAL.
I am taking this up legally.
