I have been struggling for close to 9 months now to get Standard Bank to stop taking my money. There is a penalty fee of R115 that gets deducted everytime I have an unpaid item. The specific transaction in question is a NAEDO DEBIT AUTOPAGE. I have been to my branch, another branch, phoned customer care, telling them I did not authorise this stop order, but they either send me somewhere else, or simply shrug their shoulders saying that it must be cancelled at AUTOPAGE. AUTOPAGE says it with Standard Bank.
This transaction tries to go through about 6-8 times a month and everytime it bounces, it costs me R115 (never mind the added interest onto my overdraft). Thats close to R1000 a month. I am sick of being sent around from one place to another. I want my money back. I have tried to cancel this in every way I can, short of closing my Standard Bank account for good.
