I have used GR Tax for two years now, on recommendation of a colleague. Last year I was please with the company's service level, and the speed at which they processed my Income Tax Return. This year I felt like I was dealing with another company. I have spoken to no less than four consultants, as well as the manager. One of their part time consultants failed to follow up on my queries twice, which lead me to make many unnecessary phone calls. One consultant even "forgot" to take a message for my call - unacceptable. After weeks of delay, numerous calls, and a trip to the SARS office, they were able to complete my return. GR Tax very promptly sent me an invoice, which i refused to pay until management had called me about their service (or lack thereof). Still, this was not a problem to them as they debited the amount regardless.
Unfortunately for GR Tax, there is no coming back from this. I urge consumers considering their services to do their research - there are tax practitioners providing the same service for less than a third of what GR Tax charges, and who don't take on more work than they can handle.
