I applied four months ago for a home loan from standard bank, surety was provided by my father who is a CEO and is with Standard banks private banking and I myself have a staff account with the bank. They have constantly told me a different story depending on who you speak to and no one person is assigned to the application so each time a security check is done, I get told what they will do to fix it and when I phone again since they won't phone me, they have no record of the previous call! I now take a reference number for the call yet am told they can't access it even though they've told me the calls are recorded. They now tell me all the documents are out of date because they've been to slow and I must now resubmit them. This should not be my problem but they don't seem to care! Stay away from Standard Bank! I will be changing banks shortly after more than ten years with them! I am absolutely disgusted with them and can't believe how they treat their clients! Maybe everyone should listen to Steve because beep bank is useless! I doubt this will change anything but hopefully will stop someone else having to go through this!
