No interest shown by African bank regarding my below query. All I received is 2 statement from Loan Back Office and Call Centre Enquiries and telling me that this matter has been closed on their side. I need to know why I am being charged so much interest on 2xAfrican Loan accounts which I have been paying for six to seven years and only defaulted for a few months. Calling them leads me to a dead end because no one once to take responsibility. I have been paying through my debt councillor.
The below email was sent to African Bank on several occassions.
Kindly email me outstanding balance on my two loan accounts which I have with African Bank.
I have been paying about R500.00 on each account for more than six to seven years and my accounts are still about R7000 and R5000.00 outstanding. This does not make sense, as at the moment I have paid over R40 000.00 for each account on each R10 000.00 loan I have taken out with you. Total amount amount paid is almost R80 000.00 for both accounts.
Please clarify as soon as possible as this can be classified as reckless lending.
