I completed a finance application for a Diahatsu Terios from Hyundai Bruma. I accepted their trade-in quote for my current vehicle. Within 2 days my finance was approved but the Finance manager delayed in providing the best interest rate options from the different banks.
She failed to provide quick feedback and I had to chase for information. I phoned Wesbank and received the best deal which I sent through to her. During this time I realised the dealership had no ethics because I was informed a cash customer arrived later in the week who took priority, yet my paperwork was initially accepted. I was eventually allowed to make the purchase. They assured me I need to change my insurance inception date earlier so they can settle my current vehicle with Wesbank. This was a deception. I did as requested but this was not done. I was thereafter sent a delivery note to sign for acceptance of the new vehicle so they could get Wesbank to pay them but I was only receivng it 3 days later. So I only signed and took the vehicle on 29/06. I was assured I would receive proof of settlement for the old vehicle. I'm still chasing it and it's not been settled. The DP does not care to assist.
