Nedbank has been my trusted bank for over 2 yrs now, not a single issue, until now. I was told that I need to change my student cheque acc. to a Savvy acc. as I am no longer a student. They told me all the benefits attached and I was happy, now never in my 2 plus years have I ever over drawn my account, mostly because Nedbank wouldn't allow it. I received an email from them stating that I was more than R700 overdrawn. I was so upset. I'm extremely paranoid when it comes to my account, before I draw money, I check the iphone app, I check the atm slip and my sms's. On 30/09/13, I drew my last R560 out of my account after doing my regular checks, of course. I received and sms that said there was R9.56 left in my account, which I was okay with. Later I receive a message saying that I am plus R700 overdrawn. It made no sense, I went into the bank and this lady gave me some excuse that, because i drew the R560 out of office hours, the ATM was running offline. I think that Nedbank manipulated my totals to make it look like I have money and then when i drew it out, they could hit me with not one but two R90 overdrawn charges. I don't think I want to bank with Nedbank anymore.
