I received a call from the online department explaining that I owed the bank R275.33 for the instalment that the bank duplicated on my Dstv acc. in Feb. this year. in the the instant I agreed to a deduction from my account the same amount. a day later I noticed that not only had They deducted an additonal R640 but they had charged me R40 for each transaction.

Sensing danger I phoned fnb online banking for an explanation and the consultant promised to find out and give feedback. When 48 hours passed without explanation, I phoned fnb prevention to log a case. The consultant said the transactions appeared as home loan cancellation fees on her system. I dont have any loan with the bank. I however understood her when she said she could not log a case. Her reasons were baffling: the transaction was internal. After waiting for another 24 hrs without response I phoned again and the lady did not have an answer for me. Later the guy responsible for the transaction phoned and i requested documentation for the supposed original transaction and also the R640.By email he alluded the R 640 to a mistake. I requested by email, refund of whole R995 but only 640 returned. i feel robbed!!
