Sending sms's to the wrong person

This morning when I got to work, I got the shock of my life. A colleague of mine informed me that another colleague, which I have no relation to received an sms on her phone from African Bank. Saying that I need to pay my account within two days or else it would be handed over.

For the past two years I have been under debt review and have not received a call or sms from African. I asked them to forward me a detailed statement which they did. I went to the branch in Mitchells Plain and enquired with the manager what the procedure would be if I was to start paying the account off myself as I only see the amount owing to them increases every month. He gave me a 086... number and said I should call them, when I contacted the number they made me hold almost 15 minutes.

Now my query is, how is it possible that someone you have no relation to or even know from a bar of soap gets your sms's?

This is just unprofessional. They have my number, address, and email address.

I would rather raise my concerns on Hello peter instead of being put on hold for another 15 minutes.
