I have a loan with Capitec and I bank with FNB. My pay and debit order date is the 25th of each month. Two months in a row Capitec debited the 22nd, ofcourse the debit order did not go through. Thereafter I was bombarded with phone calls saying I'm in arrears asking me when I will make payment. Each time I said they must go ahead and debit, the money is in the account. The first time they only debited a week later after I received I think it was 7 SMSes in a row stating the money must be in my account the following day. Last month they also debited the 22nd and the debit order returned. I spoke to numerous people and every time they "will pass it on to the relevant department and they will get back to me". It is the 10th today, 15 days after I was supposed to be debited and still no debit order and still no one has contacted me. How do I know this is not going to happen next month again and then again the following months? Is it so difficult to debit the 25th of each month as agreed upon? My name looks bad now because I'm "in arrears"? Why don't you stop the debit order completely and then I will deposit money each month instead?
