The insurer is unwilling to check the incorrect retail value of my car with the dealer.
The insured value decreased by R100 000 in a 3 month period. Almost 50% decrease. I have confirmed with the dealer that the retail value the insurer have on record is incorrect. It is also common sense that the retail value of a car cannot decrease from R232 000 to R136 000 in a 4 month period.
The insurer refuses to adjust.
My monthly premium was not adjusted. The original premium was calculated on an insured amount of R232 000.
I was not informed of any changes.
