Saturday 5th Oct my car (Peugeot 207) started to display Electric circuit faulty and ABS Engine System Management faulty message before it stopped running. I called Hollard with who I have a Motor X-tender policy with to inform them. I was told to take the car to a registered mechanic shop and get it checked out, send them the report. I took it to Peugeot Tygervalley were diagnostics were conducted and a report compiled basically stating that the car has a leak from a cracked cylinder gasket that is causing the car to overheat and could lead to gasket blowing off and that needs to be fixed. I send this information to Hollard and was assisted by Kyle who initially said that they can't do anything to the car as he hasn't received a report I had attached on an invoice that I paid for the other work done on the car that was not covered. Pointed him back to the section and he came back saying " As said in the report the gasket is leaking and the policy does not do any gaskets. Only in the case where your vehicle overheats and blows the cylinder head gasket then we can issue you with the benefit.". Section 2.15 of Policy clearly states that cylinder gasket is covered.
