Last Tuesday I headed into my local town to go and pay a traffic fine. Get to the traffic department only to find the power is off. After closer inspection of the fine I see that it is payable at Fnb. I get to the Teller and hand the fine over. The chap has absolutely no idea what he was doing and proceeds to ask me a whole bunch of stupid questions. I tell him PLEASE in a rational voice to do nothing further as I do not want to be out of pocket and to make a photo copy and show his supervisor so they can teach him what to do. Then to my disgust one of the patrons behind me commented "Ya it's ok for a white woman to throw her toys out the cot"... He then persisted in harassing me in full view of the tellers, supervisor and patrons. As I was about to leave (and close to tears) one of the other tellers in no friendly way said he could do the transaction which he did. This morning I log into my Internet banking only to find I HAVE BEEN CHARGED R40 to pay a R300 fine!!!
Unacceptable! What do I pay bank charges for? How about training your staff? And since when do you condone and harassment on your premises? Action should have been taken. Your supervisor did nothing. Disgusting.
