24Hour Mobility Cellphone Insurance
Horrific Service!

In December 2012, whilst in Australia, my Blackberry went completely flat, and after putting it on charge for several hours, I attempted to switch it on, only to encounter a white screen and then the unit never switched it on again. I took it into MTN SP when i returned and was informed after it was sent away, that the battery was faulty but that 24 Hour Mobility Insurance wouldnt be replacing it as it hadnt happened accidentally... In fact i was informed by the Call Centre Consultant who called me a day or two later, that if I had dropped the phone in the loo and had tried to claim for that, that it would have been attended to, and that his manager would concur, but that because the battery was faulty, they couldnt help me?! I aske dthe consultant to speak to his manager anyway and explain the situation, and if the manager concurred, to cancel my insurance as it was pretty pointless as I look after my phone, so wouldnt be making any accidental claims, as per his brief. I received an sms on Thursday stating my Insurance has been cancelled... I think the service and response is disgusting - They dont have an issue taking money, but when it comes to service, they just run???
