The setting: Vancouver, an admin mix-up forces me to put a hotel invoice on my credit card. Four hours later I get my employer to accompany me to said hotel, cancel my transaction and carry the cost on the company credit card. Both transactions occur on 14 September, but in actual fact, NO transaction occurs. FNB on my Platinum Card charges R10200 for the original transaction and pays me back R9500 on reversal. Nice guys, a quick R700. On query their response, sorry, refunds and purchases are converted at different rates. Not impressed boys. You have a nice way of HELPING your client to PART with their money. I will fondly remember you heartfelt concern and I will store the memory. Act like you care.
