I received 3 calls today from the following number: 011 981 6000. The first caller Identified himself as Faure, he claimed that he was phoning from standard bank. He took a harassing tone and wanted personal info. His claim was that I didn't pay the repayment amount on my revolving credit. He had the specific amount and all information pertaining to my accounts held with SB. I checked my statements, all showed I DID pay the amount and account in question yesterday (01-10-2013). The second caller identified himself as Bryden Davids and his supervisor to be Ricardo Mario. He maid the same claim.
I have three questions. 1 Who is responsible for this harassment?
2. When will the harassment stop?
3. Who is personally taking responsibility to protect my privacy?
I cannot approach standard bank resolution center because the is from inside standard bank until proven otherwise. This is not the only claim of this nature against this number and standard bank on this website. The persistence of the problem is concerning to me and makes me doubt the safety of my information in the hands of standard bank.
