I applied for a pledge via the website. Received email confirmation from SB that I have passed pre screening and may continue with my application. The next email was login details. At no stage during and after the application process, I received any notification of paperwork, documents, etc. that need to be send to SB. When I enquired this morning telephonically on my application, I was told it was declined, but if I go into a branch or apply with a consultant telephonically, I might receive a pledge (my expenses are more than 50 % of my salary, but included in that is a rental property, that balances out with the rent i receive, but this wasn't taken into any consideration.
