My husband got a personal loan at Absa. He took it over a period of 60 months. When we went to the bank earlier this year (he's been paying it for 25 months now) the person we went to see said if you paid it off sooner than the 60 months in total, your loan is re evaluated and some of the interest will be subtracted from the total amount owed. When my husband contacted the person involved on Monday, she said she'll come back to him. He had to phone her back today again (Today is Friday) just for her to be rude to him and to tell him that his loan will not be re evaluated. This is poor service. We will NEVER apply for a loan at ABSA EVER AGAIN!! We are thinking of even moving our accounts to another bank. We pay a lot of banking fees every month, just to get poor service. It's absolutely unacceptable!!!
