Maryn Pretorius got in the accident on the 5 September 2013. Maryn was not in the wrong, a Lady reversed into her in a parking area. The Lady said that her insurance will cover the claim. in that accepting that she is in the fault. Maryn did everything that was required from her within the next week. And asking numerous times about how far the claim is, and only two weeks later, Cathy Nel working at Motor acceptances, that Maryn is also in the fault, claiming that Maryn should have been seeing the lady reversing. Now Motor Acceptance stating that Maryn is laible for 20% of the damange, because is partly her fault. after the lady acknowledge that she was 100% in the fault. the damage is R39'987.68. if you work out the 20% its R7997.54. for something that Maryn Pretorius did not do wrong. Cathy is very unprofessional and think she is giving not only her company, but insurance companies in general a bad name. Maryn will be going through her insurance which is OutSurance. i have lodged a complaint at the Short Term insurance ombudsman to take this further.
