I have sent several requests to Wesbank asking them to stop SMS'ing me when I log into my Wesbank internet banking profile. I do not need the login notifications, but Wesbank have informed me that it is for security purposes (what for remains a mystery).
I gave them the option to rather email me the login notifications. This resulted in several back and forth emails between myself and Wesbank, each call centre person briefly reading over my emails for keywords and instead of actually looking at my request to not receive login notifications they rather reset my password.
The last correspondence was simply ignored by Wesbank - so I have tried the traditional routes of talking to a company but now have to resort to public shaming.
Please DO NOT SMS ME when I log into my Wesbank internet profile.
