I made a bulk payment into my account (to reduce my monthly car repayments).
I phoned Wesbank to confirm my account would be reduced with the amount taken into account.
I paid on the 17th September a lump sum of R45, 000.
i was advised my payments would be reduced.
I then called the centre this morning to find out the new payments. The person who took my call was rude, confrontational and basically called me a (not outright, but the intimation was there); saying I called on the 17th but when payment received on the 18th I never followed up further.
So now the monthly instalment will still be the same; because they did not update their records and my account. I ended up shouting in return advising i was the customer and how dare I be spoken to in such a way. I was merely talked over (again).
Unacceptable operator behaviour and bad account management!
