Dates of incidents - 15/08/2013; 18/09/2013; 19/09/2013
I have been a client of ABSA's for the past 12 years. I have been to various branches and service has been fairly good except for the Phoenix branch.
Unfortunately due to a medical condition, I am using the aid of crutches for mobility. The 1st incident with ABSA was on the 15/08, I had to go into the branch for my bank statement. I had to follow the queue as every other person and it's only when I got to the front of the line that I was taken off the queue and attended to. It didn't make much of a difference as I only skipped 1 person in the line. The 2nd & 3rd incidents were on 18 & 19th September. The logbook for my vehicle was sent to the Phoenix branch for collection. On the 18th, I went in at 16h10. I assumed they would be opened as some branches are open till 16h30. When I got there, they were closed and despite the staff still being in the branch, they refused to attend to me. On the 19th, I got to the branch at 15h35... A mere 5 minutes after they close and they refused to attend to me. For goodness sake, all I wanted was to collect my logbook which was at enquiries and that is 2 steps away from the door.
