Collections Harrassment

I was retrenched from my job in August and I contacted Wonga to advise that I would need an extension to repay my loan which was due to be paid on 31/08/2013.
On 19/09/2013 a consultant called me to advise that I needed to pay the full amount by end of September. I advised her that I was still unemployed and also raised the issue that I had contacted their collections department and I had requested an extension to repay my loan. I was rudely advised that this was not possible under any circumstance and that I must then borrow the money elsewhere to make sure its paid - I advised the consultant that being unemployed I am not in a position to borrow money. She insisted that I need to somehow come up with the money and make sure it is paid over by 30/09/2013.
Does Wonga encourage reckless lending? It appears so, as their consutants expect other institutions to do so and borrow me the money to repay my Wonga loan!
