I make use of Absa's cellphone banking which is convenient for me as i dont have access to a computer during my working day. About 2 to 3 weeks back i tried to make a payment with my cellphone to discover that because of a technical problem i cant do it. I went to an Absa branch to check my phone and settings. After they phoned a guy and i spoke to him, he informed me that certain Nokia smartphones were removed from their list of cellphones that they allow to do cellphone banking. Just like that, without any warning im aware of. I would like to know why and what now? Must i get another type of cellphone? Or must i move my account to another bank that allows me to do cellphone banking with my current phone? Im just a tiny drop in relation to all their customers, but a lot of us makes a bucket full. What now Absa?
