My account at FNB was hacked on 23/01/2013 and all my funds were transferred out. i had the account put on hold and reported it to FNB. Today 26/01/2013 i went into the bank to open a new account and upon doing that i asked FNB to transfer all my funds (salary) to the new account. i have had no money since the incident and was in desperate need of help. i was told that only dept can access my account to remove the hold and there is nothing they can do for me. i was also told the the system was offline and dept has closed at 12pm. i explained to them that i do not have any money to get home or survive the weekend and have a family to take care of. all the manger could tell me was "i am sorry, there's nothing we can do". i had to walk home which was about 10km. now i need to lay complaints just to get access to my money while my family suffers. A dept should be open 24/7 as dose not only take place during working hours. how pathetic to do business with a bank who's slogan is ' how can we help you". While all FNB dept staff relax at home, i sit with the worry of supporting my family over the weekend. Where do i find money to feed my family...
