I find that its becoming more and more difficult to get personal service at standard bank. Not only can I not see my personal business banker without wasting money on getting permission to do do so, even though I know I will need to sign paper work for what I want to do.

Home loan consultants now apparently don't exist at any of the branches so online applications must be done. That's fine with me but I actually needed advise. The form cant give that to me!!

Now I apply for a home loan and its cancelled due to Standard Bank having issues with the property. The previous sentence is not what is eating at me its the fact that NO COMMUNICATION was sent to me via email, sms or phone call to say something was wrong with the property therefore they were not carrying on with the bond. I must make inquiries as to what is happening!!

If I got the loan would I also not be told?

I dont think this new personless business model is doing it for me. Hopefully the computer gets back to me soon so I can make an appointment with a real person so everything else that I need to get done can actually get done.

Maybe I should follow my parents who were loyal for 50 years and just move banks
