I applied for a Discovery card two weeks ago, having been rehabilitated 4 months ago I knew it was going to take a while. Well 14 days of constantly phoning in and jumping through so many hoops my application was declined yesterday because of to many credit applications on my credit profile. On asking the consultant if according to affordability if I qualify she replied that is perfect with no problems there, it's because of the applications.
I don't know if discovery is above the all but according to the national credit act affordability is the primary criteria for extending credit to a client!?
Where do on go to build a credit record if no one wants to extend credit even if according to them you can afford it?
