For about two weeks now the Absa Call Centre insists on calling and trying to get me to agree to their latest promotion/deal, I have told them numerous times I am not interested but they still persist in calling. I asked the lady on the phone this morning if they could not make a note on their computers that I am not interested and to stop calling me. She promptly told me that as I am an Absa client, it is not possible and basically intimated that unless I agreed to accept and register with their latest promotion they would not stop calling me (so in other words, you have to move to another bank so that they will leave you alone). She also said the only way to get them to stop calling would be to physically go into one of their branches and request this! Really! Why are they now making it my problem? How do I get them to stop harassing me? It is annoying as I am at work and they keep you on the phone for ages!
