I had a policy with Regent for Top up cover in the event of loss. They are suppose to settle any outstanding amount owed to the bank after insurance payout. My insurance did their part and paid out R298k for my (m) bmw 135i that was. Regent determined my cars market value on an automatic and simply said your car is under insured. I had to prove to them that the difference in market value on a 135i M and 135i A was R80k. My car was over insured by more then 50k. The default owning to the bank is still outstanding 5 months later. This has caused a bad credit record since now it looks like I am paying 2 x bmw 135i's and I cannot even purchase a house because of their incompetence. AVOID THESE GUYS! THEY ARE QUICK TO SIGN YOU UP BUT CANNOT DO THEIR JOBS and DON'T ANSWER PHONES most of the time.
