Last year I wrote a report on this site about the huge annual increase on my 2012 insurance premium. ( First For Women then reduced the premium in response to my complaint). However, this year they have done exactly the same thing - hiked my insurance by a whopping 22%!! Our CPIX is less than 8%, so that can't justify such a huge increase. Their letter cites 'hail damage' and the 'poor exchange rate', but on checking with the makers of my car (Peugeot) the price of parts has not increased by anything close to 22%.
I have not submitted any claim against this policy since inception, but that is no big deal as you purchase insurance against incidents you hope WON'T happen.
I will most definitely be shopping around for new insurers.
