When trasfering between standard bank accounts, a 24 hour or longer waiting period is suddenly enforced. I have beem banking with standard bank for 25 year's and been using electronic payments for the last 15 years, this is the first time that I experience such a delay. I called the internet banking section, they are not helpfill, saying 24 hour's is the norm. This delay started 7 days ago. Went into the branch today, it was told to me this delay is normal. Transfering money to my family when I am away from jome, delayed for 24 hours is NOT acceptable.
