Hold for 45mins, dropped call, X Rate disadv

I don't know how bad this is but it sure feels questionable.

Received notification that foreign funds had arrived for my account and I needed to call the call centre to receive.
So I called the centre, waited for 45 mins, and then was hung up on by the system.

If all had gone through at the time, the X Rate was R13.75, however a day later when I finally reached them, it was down to R13.25... The agent assured me this was the rate that was last closed, despite News24 saying ut was R13.53.

Just feels like another situation where the bank keeps our money for that little bit longer to reap interest, and then makes it easier as soon as the rate is not so favourable for the customer.

Sour taste... but where to? Maybe Capitec?
