I signed up for an extended vehicle maintenance warranty through Absa and Innovation Group in 2012. However, when I tried to claim recent repairs I was told that I did not have a full service history with VW and that I have no cover. Their argument was that the vehicle had done 20000 km between services. When I explained that the services was done whenever the vehicle's computer indicated such need, they insisted that it had to done every 15000 km. The interesting fact is that VW can confirm that the vehicle was always serviced as per the car's computer. It is clear that Innovation Group is operating unethically by selling insurance and then make use of unfounded excuses to avoid their contract obligations when people submit claims.
