I was shocked when i went looking for a statement at Nedbank for our club account. The club account has been opened for just under 3years. Since the account has been active, we have been depositing money almost monthly. 3years x 12 = 36 transactions plus charges etc. We were told that to print the accounts like span is more then 200 pages and their charge just less then R13.00 per page (R13.00 x 200 = R2600) just for a statement. That was the craziest thing i have ever heard.
Ok so we decided to print a 3months bank statement. Another shock, at the most the statement reflects 4 (four) transactions per page, single sided. The other half of the page was full of the Directors and shareholders of the bank (like we really care). The rest of the page was blank. Ya neh not smart if you ask me.
Nedbank must get their act together asap!
