To my shock I was told today that my policy would be cancelled by month end. as I am 1 installment behind. My installment for January was not available in my account on 1 Jan. I phoned Hollard and was informed that an installment would be put through by the 15th. I advised that this would not work as by that time of the month I do not have any money in my account, and that I preferred for the installment to be deducted by the end of January when the next installment is deducted - thus a double installment. I was given the impression that this would be okay and therefore I was actively under the impression that I would still be covered. I was told today that a payment was put forward yesterday (23/01/2013) after I had asked that it only be put through on the next debit order date. The bank will only inform Hollard in 7 days (by the 30th) that the payment was not received. My salary will be in my account on the 28th, 2 DAYS before the 30th, I am also not allowed to make the payment by the 28th via EFT!!! So if you do have a problem for ONE month you loose your policy. Now I have a claim and they do not want to pay. It feels to much like a way to get out of the claim unbelieva
