It would seem that the department of Standard Bank is either on permanent tea break or it doesn't exist. I have on several occasions in the last few months tried to phone this incompetent department to sort out a case I logged in April. On two occasions I was waiting on the line for an hour before finally giving up. While I was trying to reach these slackers my case was resolved without my knowledge and I was informed that I will be held liable for the transaction on my credit card. All this happened while I was trying to contact them. I have no idea why I now have to pay for a transaction as no reason was given other than that I will have to pay it. There is absolutely no competent people at Standard Bank that I know of and the experience of trying to contact non existent call centers has left me with no option but to report them. I have no way of contacting them or getting straight answers from them. I would advise anyone to stay away from this financial institution.
